WATER CONSERVATION COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Kelly Malloy, Public Affairs/Conservation Manager, called the meeting to order 3:33 pm.
Ms. Malloy led the flag salute.
PRESENT: Directors: Shelton, Smith
ABSENT: None
STAFF: Kelly Malloy, Public Affairs/Conservation Manager; Cecilia
Contreras, Senior Administrative Assistant
GUEST(s): None
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Ms. Contreras declared the public participation section of the meeting open at 3 :34 p.m.
There being no written or verbal comments, the public participation section was closed.
APPROVE THE AUGUST 23, 2016 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
M/S/C (Shelton-Smith) approved the August 23, 2016 committee meeting minutes.
APPROVE THE FEBRUARY 2, 2017 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
M/S/C (Smith-Shelton) approved the August 23, 2016 committee meeting minutes.
CONSERVATION UPDATE
Ms. Malloy gave an update on the Governors Executive Order B-40-17, the Trailer bill for
Making Water Conservation a California Way of Life proposed legislation, reviewed the
current rebate programs, conservation workshops, the Beyond the Faucet campaign, and
the calendar that will be created from the poster contest with schools in the District.

SET THE DAY AND TIME FOR HOLDING RECURRING COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The committee members discussed and set the meeting date and time to occur quarterly
on the second Tuesday beginning at 3:30pm; due to scheduling conflicts, the July 11, 2017
meeting has been rescheduled to July 25, 2017.
