requested that a proposal be submitted by the firm of Daniel
Mann Johnson & Mendenhall, Architects- Engineers regarding cost
of a preliminary report and further cost, step by step, of the
entire project of sewage installation within the District.
E. MEYER Mr. Ernest Meyer was present requesting information regarding
WATER SERVICE water service and purchase of mains he anticipates installing
on his property at Tippecanoe and Baseline.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.

The Board of Directors met at 7:30 F.M., November 16, 1955
at,the regular meeting place.
Directors present:, Botts, Brooks, Littleton, Wall
Directors absent: Gesler
Also present: Manager Rickert, Engineer Rowe, J. B. Hanauer,
Dale White, Supt., W. D. Keir, Jr., Supt.,
Gene Poole, Maintenance Supt., Mr. Magota and
Mr. Capps of the firm of Daniel Mann Johnson
Mendenhall of Los Angeles, and the Secretary.
MINUTES: Upon indication that each member present had read the minutes of
the previous meeting and that there were no additions or correc-
tions, the minutes were declared approved.
ANNEXATIONS The President announced that this was the time and place for the
Board to consider certain annexations to the District.
ANNEXATION 1955 -6 The Secretary presented the petition of Annexation 1955 -6, to-
Tracts 4690 -4691- gether with the Affidavit of Publication showing that the publica-
4692 tion had been made as required by law.
The President announced that this was the time and place, as set
by the Notice of Hearing, to hear all protests and consider all
written objections to the proposed annexation of certain territory
to the East San Bernardino County Water District. The Secretary
presented her certificate that the petition is signed by all of
the holders of title to the lands proposed to be annexed. There
being no written protests and there appearing no persons to
offer written or oral objections to the proposed annexation, and
discussion had and evidence taken relating to the benefits to
the District and the territory proposed to be annexed which
would result from the annexation, it was moved by Director
Littleton, seconded by Director Botts, and carried unanimously,
that the hearing be closed.
ORDINANCE NO. 16 Ordinance No. 16 was presented to the Board. On motion of
Director Littleton, seconded by Director Botts, Ordinance No.
16, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino County
Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary
was directed to post in three public places within the Dis-
trict copies of the above,entitled Ordinance.

The Secretary certified that Notice of Hearing had been mailed
to each owner of real property within said Tract within the time
required by law.
The President announced that this was the time and place, as set
by the Notice of Hearing, to hear all protests and consider all
written objections to the proposed annexation. The Secretary
testified that she had examined the petition and compared it with
the records on file in the office of the County Assessor and that
it had been signed by a majority of the owners of title to the
lands proposed to be annexed.
There being no written protests and there appearing no persons to
offer written or oral objections to the proposed annexation, and
discussion had and evidence taken relating to the benefits to the
District and the territory proposed to be annexed which would re-
sult from the annexation, it was moved by Director Botts, seconded
by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, that the hearing
be closed.
ORDINANCE NO. 17 Ordinance No. 17 was presented to the Board. On motion of Director
Botts, seconded by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously,
Ordinance No. 17, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino
County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary
was directed to post in three public places within the District
copies of the above entitled Ordinance.

Director Wall, seconded by Director Botts, and carried unanimously
Ordinance No. 18, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino
County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary
was directed to post in three public places within the District
copies of the above entitled Ordinance.

Ordinance No. 26, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino
County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary
was directed to post in three public places within the District
copies of the above entitled Ordinance.
SEWERAGE Mr. Magota and Mr. Capps of Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall,
SYSTEM and Mr. J. A. Rowe of W. P. Rowe & Son, Joint Venture Engineers
presented a proposal for the accomplishment of professional
engineering services connected with the sewerage system contem-
plated by the District. Said proposal being divided into four
sections: I. Project Definition
II. Scope of Engineering Services
III. Qualifications
Iv. Engineering Fee
Open discussion with question and answers followed regarding
the proposal. Upon motion by Director Botts, seconded by Director
Wall, and carried unanimously, the proposal was taken under ad-
visement by the Board.

The Secretary presented a financial report containing the following
as requested by the Board; Bank Balance, Inventory, Accounts Due,
and work to be completed in subdivisions on which monies had been
received. Due to the increase in cost of 'labor and material, it
was moved by Director Botts, seconded by Director Littleton, and
carried unanimously, that meter installation charge in all sub-
divisions would be $50.00 effective December 1, 1955, all sub-
dividers to be notifed of said increase by letter before the effec-
tive date.
Director Botts explained the wishes of the Board regarding the
duties and responsibilities of the department heads of the District.
NOTARY PUBLIC It was moved by Director Littleton, seconded by Director Wall,
J and carried unanimously, that the District pay the Notary Fees
required by the State for one of the employees in order that a
Notary Public would be present at all times within the office.
