Directors Present: Brooks, Botts, Littleton, Taylor Directors Absent: Wall, Also Present: Manager Rickert; Engineer Rowe; Ernest Wilson of Kirkbride, Wilson, Harzfeld Wallace; William Fielc§nan of J. B, Hanauer & Co.; Engineer Shu Magota of Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall; and the Secretary L i YS•` ANNEXATION N0. 1957 -8 - TRACTS 3008 AND 3082 Upon indication that each member present had read the minutes of the previous meeting and that there were no additions or corrections, the minutes were declared approved. The President announced that this was the time and place for the Board to consider certain annexations to the District. The Secretary presented the pehltion of Annexation 1957 -8 together with the Affidavit of Publication showing that the publication had been made as required by law. The President announced that this was the time and place as set by the Notice of Hearing to hear all protests and consider all written objections to the proposed annexation. The Secretary presented her certificate that the pekition is signed by a majority in number of the holders of title, or evidence of title, to -a majority in acreage of the land proposed to be annexed, There being no written protest and there appearing no persons to offer written or oral objections to the proposed annexation, and discussion had and evidence taken relating to the benefits to the District and the territory proposed to be annexed which would result from the annexation, it was moved by Director Botts, duly seconded by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, that the hearing be closed. ORDINANCE NO. 46 Ordinance No. 46 was presented to the Board. Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director Taylor, and carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 46, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary was directed to post in three public places within the District copies of the above entitled Ordinance. Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director Botts, and carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 47, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino County Water District, was pissed on roll call vote. The Secretary was directed to post in three public places within the District copies of the above entitled Ordinance. r,d - M Y.J 129 April 16, 1957 ANNEXATION NO. 1957 -10 - TRACT 4885 The Secretary presented the petition of Annexation 1957 -10 together with the Affidavit of,Publication showing that the publication had been made as required by law. The Secretary presented her certificate that the petition is signed by all of the,holders of title, or evidence of title, to all of the land proposed to be annexed. ORDINANCE NO. 48 Ordinance No. 48 was presented to the Board. Upon motion of ORDINANCE N0, 49 Ordinance No.=49was presented to the Board. Upon motion of Director Botts, duly seconded'by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 49, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary was directed to post in three public places within the District copies of the above entitled Ordinance. ANNEXATION Director Taylor, duly seconded by Director Botts, and carried. N0. 1957 -12 - unanimously, Ordinance No. 48, Altering Boundaries of the East PUM&LO AND San Bernardino County Water District, was passed on roll call DEL ROSA vote. The Secretary was directed to post in three public places within the District copies of the above entitled Ordinance. ANNEXATION The Secretary presented the petition of Annexation 1957 - together NO. 1957 -11 -with the Affidavit of Publication showing that the publication BOB ROBERTS had been made as required by law. Upon motion of Director Botts, duly seconded'by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 49, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. ORDINANCE NO. 50 Ordinance No. 50 was presented to the Board. Upon motion of Director Botts, duly seoonded'by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, Ordinance No. 50, Altering Boundaries of the East San Bernardino County Water District, was passed on roll call vote. The Secretary was directed to post in three public places within the District copies of the above entitled Ordinance. 130 April 16, 1957 RADIO COMMUNI- Due to the many projects in progress at the present time and CATION SYSTEM those anticipated in the future, it was the opinion of the Board that radio eorrmunisations system should be installed in the cars driven by Manager Rickert, Field Superintendent Keir and Maintenance Superintendent Poole. Manager Rickert was authorized to secure prices on both lease and purchase basis. , WORK CONTRACTS In order to meet demands for service installation, it was the opinion of the Board that all tract work should be put out to contract this summer and the use of the District crew to be delegated as the work load warrants. Manager' Rickert was so authorized, upon motion by Director Botts, duly seconded by Director Taylor, and carried unanimously. PUBLIC RELATIONS It was the decision of the Board that bulletins of informa- tion should be sent to the residents of the District per- taining to the improvement program and the sewage project. Upon•.motion by Director Botts, duly seconded by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, the Office Manager was authorized to employ part time help at the time such bulle- tins are to be prepared and distributed. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. Directors Present: Brooks, Littleton, Taylor, Wall Directors Absent: Botts Also Present: Manager Rickert, Engineer Rowe, Associate Engineer Cole, J. B.,Hanauer, Attorney Holcomb, and the Secretary MINUTES Upon indication that each member present had read the minutes of the previous meeting and that there were no additions or corrections, the minutes were declared approved. CONETO MUTUAL - Representatives Howard Betts, Joe Hall, Stanley Larrabee and Raymond Rassmussen from the Conejo Mutual Water Company were present, requesting information regarding supplemental water, annexation and general information as to ways and means of obtaining District services. EAST NINTH Mr. Terry of 26711 Ninth Street was present and filed a petition STREET for annexation of acreage on the South side of Ninth Street ANNEXATION between Cunningham Street and, Palm Avenue. The Board informed Mr. Terry that a study would be made as to costs to the residents in this area to connect to the District water main and he would be contacted at a later date. Upon motion by Director Taylor, duly seconded by Director ( and carried unanimously, Manager Rickert was instructed to report to the Board the fair and equitable connection charge for each resident within the area to be annexed. SEWAGE REPORT Engineer .Rowe reported that 15% of the design for the sewage collection system was completed aid 35% of the design of the trunk lines. He reported also that Engineer Reiter had informed him his firm will finance engineering costs until sale of the Sewage Bonds. Engineer Rowe recommended that a,record of survey map be filed in reference location of the plant site. Manager Rickert stated that the engineers would report on June 4 the total installation cost. 0, J
