Directors Present: Brookst BottSw Littleton, Taylor Directors A~sent: Wall Also Present: · Engineers Rowe, Reiter and Colew Manager Rickert and the Secretary CONFJO ~[OTUAL Representatives were present from the Conejo Mutual Water Company requesting service from' the District under certain terms and condi- tions. After discussion it was the determination of the Board that due to the fact that other mutuals may ask for service at a later date, that in all fairness to the people within the District the rate m~st be equal. Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director Taylor, and carried unahimouslyt service ~ould be extended to the Conejo Mutual Water Company providing the entire area annexed to the District and that the District take over all of the assets of the mutual. LITTLE LEAGUE The Secretary reported that Mr. Stillot 1070 East Paloma Road, had re- DIAMOND - quested permission to use the land o~med by the District on Del Rosa, DISTRICT PRO- directly West of the Administration Building, for a baseball diamond PERTY for the Little League. He stated that they would be responsible for maintaining property and grading and leveling. Upon motion by Director Botts, duly seconded by Director Taylor, and carried unanimously, per- mission is hereby granted for the use of said property by the Little League~ contingent upon a drawn agreement setting fortht particularlyt insurance coverage. SALE OF DAZEY ' The Secretary read a letter from the Secretary of the Daley Canyon C~%NYON ~Rfi~AL Mutual Water Company in which it was stated that all of the assets WATER COMPANY of said mutual were to be sold, Upon motion by Director Littleton~ duly seconded by Director Botts, and carried unanimously, the General Manager was instructed to check on any materials that could be of use to the District and to bid on same. FEDERAL'~GRA~ The Secretary read a letter from the State Water Pollution Control APPLICr~TION Board regarding filing of applications for the current fiscal year. Engineer Reiter informed' the Board that he had received the same letter end had already requested the forms and instructions. SH~ERAGE - After discussion it was the opinion of the Board that in order to properly ENGINEERING authorize installation of collection and trunk lines in certain areas of the District it would be necessary ~hat the entire District be engineered. Upon motion by Director Littletont duly seconded by Director Botts~ and carried~ unanimously, Engineer Reiter was authorized to complete engineering of the entire District as set forth in letter of June 18 under Exhibit ~A~ Item No. l. EASemEnTS FCR Upon motion by Director Botts~ duly seconded by Director Littleton and SEWER PURtK]SE~ carrl'ed unanimously~ Engineer Reiter was authorized to obtain descrip- tions across all properties needed for easement purposes for the instal- lation of collection and trunk lines concerning sewerage. AGREEMtNT - The Board discussed the proposed contract between the District and Patton PAI~D3N STATE State Hospital as prepared by Attorney Wilson of San Mateo. Engineer HOSPITAL - Reiter was authorized to make certain suggested changes to said contract SF~ERAGE ~and submit to Attorhey Wilson with his conments, said draft then to be sub, mitred to the State Hospital~ representatives for their donsideration. T~qPORARY The Secretary r~ad a letter from Richard' E. Elliott, R. S., Director of CESSPOOLS Sanitation for the County of San B&rnardino. Said letter set forth the points covered in a m~eeting held July 15 with Mr. Elliott concerning installation of temporary cesspools in the Water District. Mr. Elliott · requested that any comments that the Board might have concerning the points covered be written in and the draft returned to his office for consideration and typing. Engineer Reiter informed the Board that all points were well covered and satisfactory except as to location of are&s to b~ approved for temporary cesspools and requested that the description read ~that portion generally Nbrth of Highland Avenue, 141 July 22, 1957 East of the City Limits of San Bernardino, and West of Sterling Ave~nue, and generally North of Base' Line and East of Sterling Avenue." The Secretary was instructed to make said change and submit the draft to Mr. Elliott for his consideration. ADJOUR~,%fEI~ There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. B. Hanauer, Attorney Holcomb, and the Secretary MINUTES Upon indication that each member present had read the minutes of the previous meeting and that there were no additions or corrections, the minutes were declared approved. BID AND It was the decision of the Board that for economic reasons and in order ACCEPTANCE, to expedite the work, particularly concerning service replacements, it BACK-HOE was necessary that the District .purchase a Back-hoe.
