RF/~ULAR MEETING MAY 9, 1961
Directors Present-. Botts, President, presiding; Brooks,
LeVesque, Littleton and Wall.
Directors Absent: None.
Others Present: General Manager-Secretary, Rickert;
AssociAte Engineer, Cole; Auditor-Treasurer,

Contractor, Elmer Funkhouser; Little League
Baseball representatives, Everett Capes,
Larl7 Wolf, Dick Siebert, Ward ~/ng and
Jerry Nicholson.
MINUTES Upon indication that each Board m~mher present had read the
rainutes of the April ~-$th, 1961 regular meeting, and there
were no additions or corrections, the President declared
the minutes approved as written.
BIDS - TRANS~IISSION The president announced that this wes the time end place
LINE CITRUS AVENUE, ~ open bids for furnishing labor and equipment to install
ARDE~ AVENUE, DATE 12' transmission main and appurtenant facilities in Citrus
STREET TO RESERVOIR Street - Arden Avenue to Date Street Reservoir site, all
SITE JOB W-353. in accordance with plans and specifications of the District.
The following sealed bids were opened end reed by the
Secretary:
Coughlin Company $3,507.60
Robert Simon 3,894.40
Elmer W. Funkhouser 2,830.75
District's Estimate 3,810.80
After reviewing the bid bonds and proposals, the Engineer
recommended the acceptance of the low bid subJ eot to the
advice of legal counsel.
MOTION Upon motion by Director LeVesque, duly seconded by Director
Well and carried unan/mously, the bid proposal of Elmer W.
Funkhouser in the amount of $2,830.7§ was accepted subject
to legal counsel, and the President and Secretary were
authorized to execute e Conteect on behalf of the District.
RESOLUTION NO. 362 A certificate of Completion was filed by the Associate
CERTIFICATE OF Engineer certifying to the completion of Job W-346,
COMPLETION OF 3OB installation of water mains and appurtenant facilities in
W-346 IN TRACT NO. Tract 6280, on April 18, 1961 in ac6ordance with plans and
6280. specifications.
MOTION Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director
Wall and carried unanimously, Resolution No. 362 Accepting
3ob W-346 in Tract 6280, Coughlin Company, contractor, was
adopted and the President and Secretary ordered to sign and file
Notice of Completion.
RESOLUTION NO. 363 The Secretary presented a Dedication of Sewers executed by
EPTING DEDICATION officers of H. W. Heers, Inc., Tract 6103, and Resolution No.
OF SEW]~S, H.W. 363 is hereby presen, ted for acceptance.
HEERS TRACT 6103.
MCTION Upon motion by Director Wall, dul~ seconded by Director
Littleton and carried unanimously, Resolution No. 363,
Accepting Dedication of Sewers in Tract 6103 frc~a H. W. Hears,
Inc., was adopted and order made.
FURTHER DISCUSSION The president asked Attorney Holcomb for his opinion regarding
LITTLE LEAGUE USE the use of the District's land on the West side of Del Rosa
OF DIwrMICT PROPERTY. Avenue for a Little League baeeball park. He stated the
onlN problem ~s far as he could see, might be insurance to
protect the District in case of injuries or property dsmage.
