Foreclusure would be the only alternative, which would eliminate liens Junior to the deed of trust. The directors expressed no objection to releasing the lien and filing the demand as suggested. REPRESENTATIVES W.P. Rowe & Son, Engineering firm, is to represent the IN WATER b~JIT defendants in the water suit as engineering consultants and Attorney Denslow Green is to represent the East San - Bernardino County Water District only. MINUTE~ Upon indication that each Board member present had read the m~nutes of the June 13, 1961 meeting, a fill in of a missiag line on page 3m oaragraog 6m was reqyested which is as follows - "rich including the engineering costs. BIDS - WATER The President called for bids to be opened for furnishing MAINS AND labor and equipment for the installation of water mains APPURTENANT and appurtenant facilities for Tract 4815, Job W-337, FICILITIES nOR in accordance with District's plans and specifications. TRACT 4815, JOB W-337. The followir~3 sealed bids were opened and read by the Secretary: Robert Simon, Contractor, $4,589.21 District's estimate 4,594.00 After reviewing the bid bond and proposal, the Associate Er~ineer recomended the acceptance of this bid subject to legal counsel. MOTION Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director LeVesque and carried unanimously, the bid of Robert Simon, Contractor, in the amount of $4,589.21 was accepted subject to legal counsel, and the President and Secretary were authorized to execute a Contract on behalf of the District. The following sealed bids were opened and read by the Secret ary: Robert Simon, Contractor $4,128.13 District's estimate 3,766.00 After reviewing the bid bond and proposal, the Associate Engineer reported an error of $184.00 in item No. 6 which would chan~e the total of the bid to $4,312.13, following which change he reco~gaended the acceptance of the bid at the corrected figure subject to legal counsel. MOTION Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director Wall and carried unanimously, the bid of Robert Simon and the corrected figure of $4,312.13 was accepted subject to legal counsel, and the President and Secretary were authorized to execute a Contract on behalf of the District. BIDS - C(i%TING The President called for bids to he opened for furnishing INTERIOR AND material, labor and equipment for the coating of the PAINTING EXTERIOR interior and painting the exterior of the new 900,000 OF NEW 900,000 gallon steel storage reservoir on Date Street, Job W-350, GAL[ON STEEL in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for RESERVOIR JC~ District by W. P. Rowe & Son. W-350. The following sealed bids were opened and read by the Secretar~: Acme Maintenance Engineering Co. $10,728.00 Spence & Sullivan, Inc. 8,654.00 Calblasco, Inc. 11,595.00 After reviewing the bid bond and proposal, Engineer Joe Rowe recommended the acceptance of the low bid of Spence Sullivan, Inc. in the amount of $8,654.00 subject to legal counsel. MOl'ION Upon motion by Director Wall, duly seconded by Director Littleton, and carried unanimously, the bid of Spence & Sullivan, Inc. in the amount of $8,654.00 was accepted subject to legal counsel and the President and Secretary were authorized to execute a Contract on behalf of the 3une 27, 1961 District. MCTION Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by Director LeVesque and carried unanimously, the bid of Robert Simon, Contractor, in the ~mnunt of ~1,158.92 was accepted subject to legal counsel and the President and Secretary authorised to execute a Contract on behalf of the District. Funkhouser 3,17§.00 District's estimate 1,610.00 After reviewin~ the bid vond and proposal, the Associate Engineer reco~m~ended the acceptance of the low bid of Robert Simon in the amount of $1,845.38, subject to the auproval of legal counsel. MOTION Upon motion by Director LeVes~ue, duly seconded by Director Wall and carried unanimously, the bid of Robert Simon, Contractor, in the ~mount of $1,843.38 was accepted subject to the approval of legal counsel and the President and Secretary were authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the District. Director Brooks arrived late - 7~45 p.m., after all the bids'had'been disposed of. RESOLUTION NO.370 Grant of Easement was presented as Resolution No. 370, ACCEPTING GRANT from the C-mhrid~e Fund of California, Inc. for water OF EASEMENT FiR and sewer line installation to the Del Rosa Bowling Alley. WATER AND SEWq~ DEL ROSA BOWLING Upon motion by Director Littleton, duly seconded by ALLEY. Director LeVes~ue and carried unanimously, Resolution No. ~70 accepting ~rant of Easement from the Cambridge MOTION Fund of California, Inc. was adopted and order made. RESOLUTION NO. · Resolution No. 371, Release of Lien against the property 371 RELEASE OF of Irvin and Fern Newman, 7802 Eucalyptus Dr., Highland, LIEN, IRVIN & California, was presented. The main extension in the FERN NEWMAN, amount of $294.40 has been paid in ~ull. 7802 EUCALYPU3S. Upon m~tion by Director Wall, duly seconded by Director MOTION LeVesque and carried unanimously, Resolution No. 371, Release of Lien against Irvin and Fern Newman, was adopted and order made. FINANCIAL REP(I~T The president called upon the Auditor-Treasurer for the financial report for the month of May, copies of wh/ch were supplied to each Director.
