MINUTES Upon indication that the minutes of the regular
meeting of the Board of Directors of May 8, 1962
had been read, and there were no additions or
corrections, the President declared them ap-
proved as written.
RESOLUTION NO. 441 Resolution No. 441, Release of Lien of the Trinity
RELEASE OF LIEN Presbyterian Church at 26061 Date Street,
TRINITY PRESBYTER- Highland, was presented as the main extension
IAN CHURCH charges of $2,242.07 have been paid in full.
MOTION Upon motion by Director Wall, duly seconded
by Director Forrest and carried unanimously,
Resolution No. 441, Release of Lien of the
Trinity Presbyterian Church, was adopted and
order made.
A VISITOR - MR. The President noted a visitor present and
GUZ~ IS HEARD called upon Mr. Guzy for anything which he
might wish to say to the Board. Mr. Guzy
felt he is not receiving fair treatment from
this District by not being able to have sewers
when neighbors with the same situation do
MOTION have sewer service. After much discussion,
motion was made by Director LeVesque, duly
seconded by Director Disch and carried
unanimously, authorizing consulting engineer,
Don Miller, to make a study to see if it is
at all possible to serve Mr. Guzy's property
with sewer, and report to the Board.
LETTER - The President read a letter from Congressman
CONGRESSMAN Harry R. Sheppard regarding District's letter
HARRY SHEPPARD of request for consideration of budgeting
50,000.00 for a survey of the Upper Warm
Creek Project.
LETTER - The President also read a letter from United
SENATOR THOMAS States Senator Thomas H. Kuchel in reply to
H. KUCHEL the District's letter asking for his support
of a budget allotment of $50,000.00 for a
survey of the Upper Warm Creek Flood Control
Project.
FURTHER Members of the staff contacted Attorney Henry
DISCUSSION OF to discuss the plans for possible taxation
BUDGET FOR TAX proceedings in the District. Attorney Henry
PURPOSES advised them that it would be necessary to
have an over all budget in order to determine
whether or not anticipated revenue will cover
the budget needs. If not, then steps can
be taken to plan for a small tax to balance
the budget. It was then considered wise to
proceed with the District budget as fast as
possible.
DISCUSSION - The City of San Bernardino Annexation of Norton
PROPOSED ANNEXATIONS Air Force Base was discussed by the Board. It
BY CIT~ OF SAN was pointed out that the City of San Bernardino
BERNARDINO can annex unimproved property by motion of
the City Council provided there are less
than 12 registered voters residing in the
area proposed to be annexed. At this point,
constituent E. Dana Brooks stated it might
be an advantage to the people of the Dist-
rict to allow the City of San Bernardino
to annex all portions of the District to
the City for fire and police protection.
No action was necessary.
