held October 26, 1965
A Special .~eting of the Board of Directors of the North Fork Water
Company was held this 26th day of October, 1965, at 2:00 o'clock P.,..,
at the office of the East Highlands Orange Company, 7125 Elder Gulch Road,
in East Highlands, California.
Present: Directors Gordon W. Corwin, Paul R. Jennings, Stanley L. Poppett,
Jene S. Ha:milton and Henry E. Guerth.
Absent: Directors Arnold L. Wright and Walter H. Laputz.
President Gordon W. Corwin presided.
The minutes of the last Director's l~eeting, held ~{ay 27, 19~, were
approved as read.
After discussxon of finances, it was moved by Paul R. Jennings and
seconded by Henry E. Guerth that the following Resolution be a~optsd:
BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED as follows:
FIRST: That this corporation levy an assessment (No. ll3) on all of the
issued and outstanding shares of this corporation, which assessment shall
be in the m~ount of One Dollar ($1.00).
SECOND: Said assessment shall be payable to the Secretary of this corp-
oration, John R. Poppett, at 27860 Atlantic Avenue, Highland, California.
THIRD: December 16~ 1965, is hereby fixed as the day on which any unpaid
assessment shall become delinquent.
FOURTH: January lb, 1966, is hereby fixed as the day for the sale of any
delinquent shares.
FIFTH: lO:00 o'clock A.M., at 27860 Atlantic Avenue, High_land, San Bernardino
County, California, is hereby fixed as the hotur and place of sale.
THE ~OTION CARRIED AND THE RESOLUTION WAS DECLARED ADOPTED.
After discussmon, it was moved by Stanley L. Poppett and seconded by
Paul R. Jennings that, subject to the approval of i~rs. Henry 'Cram, the
work of lowering the pump in the "Cram" well be authorized and that
such work be delayed until next spring.
THE ~,~oTION CARRIED.
President Corwin read a letter of Attorney John B. Surf relative
to right-of-ways and easements of canals and roadways, the fencing of
canals, and locks and gates across roadways.
I~ was moved by Paul R. Jennings and seconded by Stanley L. Poppett
that the management be authorized to sign or agree to a "frotest of open-
ing of the San Oorgonia Wilderness Area to commercial development~', as
prepared by Horace P. Hinckley, of Sear Valley ~utual Water Company.
THE ~OTiON CARRIED.
There being no further business, on motion the meeting was de~lared
