F~derson, ~esident of ~ Valley ~utu~ ~.~ater ~mpany, presided. Horace P. ~mckley presem~d t~e A. A. i~t~ws, Inc., report on the collapse of the 'Savage:" T~l covering its condition and recommendation on the method of repair. He ~so presented his estimates on the cost ~f repair of t~ ca,-in% at $9,250.~o, and of rehabilitatio~ of t~ entre t~el, at $25,000.00. Hinckley p~sen~d t~ee alteraati~ plans for by-passi~g portio,s or all of t~ entire t~nel with 30 i~ch s~el pi~. ~ est~ated that the cost of by- passin~ the entire t~el, desigmated as ~am '"C'", with 30 inch ~el pi~ wo~d be approximately $24,500.~. It was the consensus that the entire tu~el sho~d be by-passed, using Plan that t~ matter of Right of Way amd removal of necess~y or,ge trees t~ou~h the Savage pro~rty shoed be discussed with Donald Jordan, Attorney ~d member of the SaVage ~ncnes, amd that the pi~ shoed ~ ordered i~diately. It was moved by ~nold L. Wright and seconded by E. O. Paterson, Jr. that the Joi~t Companies adopt t~ plan, ~'C~, to by-pass the tunnel with s~el pi~, that Horace P. Hinc~ey be authorized to order the pipe, with ~ cahcellation proviaion subject to obtaininE a Ri2ht of Way through the Sava~ pro~rty ~d the costs of sm~ and removal of necess~y trees, and that all costs be split every bet~een the two ~o ~panies, with ~ar Valley ~utu~ ~%%ter Company to make the initial pay~nts of costs, t~ billing 14orth Fork ;~:a~r Co~pa~y for the~ one-half of COSTS.
