The A~nual ~eting of the Stockholders of the North Fork Water Company
was held this 25th day of ~arch, 1969, at lO o'clock A.M., at the office of
the East Highlands Orange Company, at 7125 Elder Gulch Road, in East Highlands,
California.
The Secretary announced that a majority of the stock of the Co:apany, in
excess of the required 3,601 shares, was represented by persons present and
proxies deposited prior to the meeting. A final count indicated that ll persons
present, holding 867 shares, a~d 50 proxies deposited in the amount of 4,493
shares, accounted for a total representation of 5,359 shares.
The ~eting was declared open for business by Paul R. Jennings, PTesident.
The ~nutes of the last Regular Stockholders ~eeting, held ~4arch 29, 1965,
were approved as read.
President de,mings reviewed the Balance Sheet and Statement of Incom~ and
F~penses for the Fiscal Year Ending January 31, 1969. He noted that the Assess-
merit had been held as low as possible and that Cash on Hand had been reduced to
3,036. OO.
After discumsioa, it was moved by Dr. Ja~s H. Savage and seconded by Carl
R. Anderson that the Finaacial Statement be approved and placed on file; a~d
that the Firm of Eadie and Payee be authorized to audit the books of the Company
and t~ prepare the Financial P~port and Tax P~turns for the Fiscal Period Ending
January 31, 1970.
THE MOTION CARRIED.
P~esident Jen~ings discussed the history of the ~ompany~ its origin, water
rights and its connection with the Bear Valley l,~tual Water Company relating to
the Contract between the two Companies.
John R. Poppett discussed the present Season's extremely heavy rainfall,
damages that had been caused by the recent f~oods and repairs ~ecessary. H~
reported that Rainfall in B~ar Valley to March 25 was 80.39 inches, emceeded
only by Year 1890, and that the Lake was b~ing held at 3 feet from the top of
the da'~. He ~lso reported that a cave-in had occured i~ the "Sava~" or Oak
Creek tunnel which had been repaired; also that repairs were yet to be made
to a break in the City Cree~{ Syphon caused by pounding of boulders in the
stream.
Nominations w~re declared o~en for Directors for the ensuin~ ~ear.
It was moved by Elizabeth Kiel and seconded by James R. Savage that the
present Directors, namely: Paul R. Jennings, Henry E. Guerth, Arnold L. Wright,
Harold G. Rickert, James C. ~h~llins, R. Bruce Jordan a~d Cmrl R. ~derson be
nominated Directors for the ensuing year and that the Secretary cast the ballot
for their election. THg ~OTION CARRIED BY AN UNANIMOUS VOTE.
The Secretary crest an unanimou~ ballot for the electio~ of the Directors.
As no other ballots were cast, the nominated Directors were declared elected.
There being no further business, the m~eting was declared adjourned.
