HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - North Fork Water Company - 03/26/1971REGULAR HEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NORTH FORK WATER COMPANY held March 26, 1971. Upon adjournment of the Annual Stockholder's Meeting, the Board of Directors met this 26th day of March, 1971, at the office of the East Highlands O~ange Company, at 7125 Elder Gulch Road, East Highlands, California, for the purpose of reorganization. Present: Directors Paul R. Jennings, Carl R. Anderson, Stuart M. George, Henry E. Guerth, A. J. 0'Farrell and Arnold L. Wright. Absent: Director Harold G. Rickert. The Minutes of the last Regular Meeting, held March 27, 1970, were approved as read. President Jennings announced that John R. Poppett had informed him that he desired to resign as Secretar~ and Treasurer because his duties as Zanjero demanded so mu~h of his attention at times that he had little t~ left for the Secretary's work or for personal matters. He further stated that he had not yet made any arrangements for someone to take the of£iee; and that John R. Poppett had agreed to accept reelection until a replacement cQ_u~ ~_found. President/~d that he he authorized to discuss the position of Secretary and Treasurer with someone who might be interested. He also stated that he felt that the salary should be increased from $50.00 to 75.00 per month; and that he he authorized to state that the salary would he $75.00 per month. After discussion, it was moved by Stuart M. George and seconded by Oarl R. Anderson that President Jennings be authorized to discuss the position of Secretary and Treasurer with an interested party and that the salary be increased from $50.00 to $7%.00 per month. THE MOTION CARRIED. Nominations were declared open for officers of the Company for the ensuing year by Paul R. Jennings, presiding as ~airman. It was moved by Arnold L. Wright and seconded by Carl R. Anderson that the present officers; Paul R. Jennings, President; Henry E. Guerth, Vice-President; and John R. Poppett, Secretary and Treasurer, he reelect- ed as officers of the ~ompany for the ensuing year. THE ~OTION CARRIED AND THE OFFICERS WERE DECLARED ELECTED. There being no further business, the meeting was declared adjourned. N? 35
