HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - North Fork Water Company - 04/13/1977NORTH FORK WATER COMPANY BOARD MEETING April 13, 1977 A meeting of the Board of Directors of the North Fork Water Company was held on April 13, 1977 at 7:34 p.m. at the office of the East San Bernardino County Water District at 1155 Del Rosa Avenue, San Bernardino, California. PRESENT: Arnold L. Wright, President Elizabeth Kiel Joseph A. Rowe Laird Roddick Dennis Johnson ABSENT: Paul Jennings, Jr. Stuart George OTHERS PRESENT: Margaret Wright Mrs. Beattie Ellsworth Larson Mr. Kiel Harold M. Fones, Secretary-Treasurer It was moved by Director Kiel and seconded by Director Roddick that the Minutes of November 23, 1976 and January 19, 1977 be approved. Director Rowe moved that the President (Arnold L. Wright) and Vice- President (Stuart George) from the preceeding year be retained. This was seconded by Director Kiel and carried unanimously. President Wright read a letter of resignation from Director Paul Jennings, Jr. Director Johnson moved and Director Kiel seconded that a letter of appreciation be prepared for the years of service Paul Jennings had given to the North Fork Water Company. President Wright directed Secretary Fones to prepare a letter to Frank Jacinto in regards to his election to the Board of Directors. Continued concern over the ditch in the vicinity of Carriage Hills was discussed. An estimate had been obtained for a 36" spun concrete pipe in the amount of $20.00. Funds for this were not readily avail- able. Further discussion will take place with Director Johnson and the Carriage Hills Homeowners Association. Assessments for the coming year were discussed and after considering all the facilities, it was moved by Director Johnson and seconded by Director Roddick that $2.75 regular assessments be made, which would be due and payable by the end of June, as had been the practice in the past. Director Rowe related his concern and the concern of Attorney Denslow Green that we take delivery of all the water we are entitled to. The 1- future holds many uncertainties which include potential litigation and legislation that might impair our r~ghts if they are not exercised. After further discussion, it was moved by Director Johnson and seconded by Director Roddick to form a committee, Directors Wright. Rowe and Secretary Fones to see Horace Hinckley at Bear Valley and arrange for the full delivery of water entitlement to North Fork Water Company. The motion passed unanimously. Further discussion ensued as to the method of use of the water and it was the concensus of the Board to raise the entitlement per share to achieve the full utilization of tbs water by those who are in effect using water. The Secretary was directed to obtain delivery information from the zanjero and to further study the effects of in- creased water allotments per share.
