SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, NORTH FORK WATER COMPANY
PURPOSE: To discuss and plan some action to take in reference to
putting pipeline into the North Fork Ditch in front of
Jim Seat's home on Highland Avenue.
PRESENT: Laird K. Roddick
Elizabeth M. Kiel
Dennis Johnson
Victor Ray
Arnold Wright
President Wright opened the meeting giving background of incidents
that have taken place in installation of pipeline by Eastvale
Development Company.
The motion was made by Dennis Johnson, seconded by Victor Ray.
MOTION: That the Board authorize the President to negotiate
with Eastvale Development Company for completion of the pipe with
36" pipe to be furnished by the Company (North Fork). If negotiations
fail, President is authorized to pay the $1100.00 demanded by Eastvale
Development and they will complete the job. If necessary 30" pipe
is authorized under the/bridge~ The motion was voted on and carried
unanimously. /access /to Seat's property.
Second Motion was made by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Elizabeth
Kiel to have Fred Stafford make and install a trash rack in the
open ditch at the east end of the pipeline. Motion was voted on
and carried unanimously.
Third motion made by Elizabeth M. Kiel, seconded by Laird K. Roddick
that a cleanout be established in the pipeline at the most accessible
place. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously.
Vic Ray gave a report on his, Rod Hanway's and Fred Stafford's
inspection of the North Fork Canal. He recommends the Board set
aside amounts of money for annual repair and maintenance of the
North Fork Canal, beyond that which is carried on by Fred Stafford.
Laird Roddick made a comment, that the Board should establish
definite guidelines to be used in the future when developers do work
along the canal and are required to install pipeline in place of
the open ditch.
Motion to adjourn by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Laird Roddick.
