Mr. Murphy had asked for some relief from the total bill. After discussion of the matter, it was suggested that Mr. Murphy be contacted by the staff and a determination made as to the amount and reason for the requested relief. The General Manager indicated that communica- tions had been received from the San Bernardino County Flood Control District suggesting a one-time fee be paid for all existing annual permits; i.e. No. P-171078, City Creek Levee, 255, less previous annual payments; P-172011, City Creek Spreading Grounds, $255.00 less previous annual payments. After discussion M 9-5-75 MOVED and seconded by Directors Stallwood SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY and Littleton that the one-time permit fees FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT be paid in lieu of future annual permits. PERMIT FEES Motion carried unanimously. The General Manager stated Don Flagg, District mechanic, was eligible for a six-month step increase and reconm~ended it be granted as his work merits the increase. Range 3lA, 3/3/75 $4.23/hr; to 3lB 9/3/75 4.44/hr, effective 9/4/75. M 9-6-75 MOVED and seconded by Directors Littleton STEP INCREASE and Disch that said step increase be granted. Motion carried unanimously. DON FLAGG, MECHANIC EADIE & PAYNE OFFICE OPENING - REDLANDS The General Manager announced that Eadie & Payne, District Auditors, were opening an office in Redlands. Information only. ARBITRATION AWARD DISCUSSION The General Manager stated he had called Attorney Denslow Green on Friday re the Arbitration Awards letter which Mr. Green had indicated he would send and had again called this date. Attorney Green stated the letter had been mailed this date. He briefly explained the contents of Attorney Green's letter as relayed to him by Attorney Green. After considerable discussion, it was suggested that further action should be held until the letter had been received and studied. CORRESPOND~CE RE B~IG BEAR NATURAL GROUND WATER REPLENISHMENT The General Manager made reference to a letter given each Director received from Attorney Green, written by Attorney Martin McDonough re a report being prepared by Jim Hanson, Watermaster of the San Bernardino Basin, determining impact of various opera- tions of Big Bear Lake on natural ground water replenishment in the San Bernardino basin. After discussion it was suggested Attorney Green be requested to send a copy of the re- port to the District upon his acquiring same.
