GUEST(s): APPROVAL OF AGENDA The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President Negrete. Steve Kennedy led the flag salute. Directors Wilson, Sturgeon, Negrete Directors Lightfoot, Goodin Paul Dolter, District Engineer; Alberta Hess, Chief Financial Officer; Mary Wallace, Administrative Assistant. Steve Kennedy None M /S /C (Wilson - Negrete) that the April 26, 1999 Agenda be approved as submitted. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION President Negrete declared the public participation section of the meeting open at 5:32 p.m. There being no written or verbal comments, the public participation section was closed. APPROVAL OF LIENS FOR DELINQUENT WATER AND SEWER ACCOUNTS. --Jae Chief Financial Officer noted that the owner of the property at 6969 Glasgow Ave., 7160 Victoria Ave., 26710 6` St., and 7885 Valencia Ct. had paid the account and should be removed from the lien list. r� M /S /C (Wilson - Negrete) that the liens for delinquent water and sewer accounts be approved for processing with the exceptions noted by the Chief Financial Officer. DISBURSEMENTS v M /S /C (Wilson - Negrete) that General Fund Disbursements #176419 to #176589 in the amount of $719,492.54; Payroll Fund Disbursements #5749 to #5800 in the amount of $60,094.79 totaling $779,587.33 be approved. BILLING DISPUTE BY ROBERT FICK, OWNER OF PROPERTY AT 26710 6 T " STREET. Mr. Fick's billing dispute was resolved prior to the Board Meeting. Information only. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING REQUEST TO SUPPORT SAN GORGONIO'S THEATER DEPARTMENT. M /S /C (Sturgeon - Wilson) that the District place a half page ad in the San Gorgonio's program for their upcoming production in support of the Theater Department. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING CLAIM FOR DAMAGES BY HERBERT JOHNSON, ALLEGED TENANT AT 1658 CONEJO DRIVE. M /S /C (Sturgeon - Wilson) that the claim by Herbert Johnson be denied and referred to District's Legal Counsel and Insurance Agency. RELEASES OF LIEN FOR DELINQUENT WATER AND SEWER ACCOUNTS. List of liens released on April 22, 1999 was reviewed. Information only. ORAL COMMENTS FROM BOARD OF DIRECTORS. Director Wilson stated that he had received AWWA's Radon comments and that they would be incorporated into the package for presentation to Congress. Information only. APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 12, 1999 MEETING MINUTES M /S /C (Sturgeon- Goodin) that the April 12, 1999 minutes be approved as submitted. Director Wilson abstained from the vote. CLOSED SESSION �r The Board entered into session at 5:45 p.m. as provided for in the California Open Meeting Law, Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with legal counsel regarding those items listed on the agenda. ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTION The Board returned to session at 6:18 p.m. The items listed on the Agenda were discussed in closed session with no action being taken.
